This document outlines changes made to the Cardinal Merchant Onboarding API. As updates are made to the product, we will document the update below, with impacts listed accordingly. All updates will be broken down by version and/or release date.

MerchantName Length (Date: Sep 21, 2020 )

• Corrected field definition for MerchantName to reflect alphanumeric length of 40 characters.

Version 3 (Date: Aug 12, 2020 )

With the availability of version 3 of the Merchant Onboarding API, we have undergone a full documentation overhaul. The previous documentation has been archived and can be located here: TODO

Major highlights of Version 3 include:

• Introduced new V2 endpoint for CreateMerchant

  • Performance improvements made to underlying API calls involved in creating a merchant

  • Modified expected response for CreateMerchant, and eliminated the requirement to utilize Notification Url

    • CreateMerchant now provides a synchronous response including merchant details and API Keys. Refer to: https://cardinaldocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CCen/pages/1145667603

• Added MerchantEmail to Create & Update Merchant request objects

• All PayerAuthConfig and APIKey endpoints now reference V1 in path

• Added support for creation of Cartes Bancaires Payment Initiative configurations

  • “CB” now allowable value for PaymentInitiativeType
