TLS Cipher Suites & Protocols
What is TLS?
Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a cryptographic protocol used to establish a secure communications channel between two systems. It is used to authenticate one or both systems, and protect the confidentiality and integrity of information that passes between systems.
What version does Cardinal currently support?
Cardinal Integration Methods such as Cardinal Cruise (Standard or Hybrid) support Javascript (Specifically Songbird.js) with a TLS 1.2 version or higher.
Does Cardinal require an upgrade to cipher suites and protocols in order to use Songbird.js?
Yes, Cardinal Cruise currently only supports 1.2 and higher. This means in order to successfully utilize the Cardinal Integration method you will need to ensure that the below cipher suites are in use when using the Cardinal Integration methods. We have provided the current accepted cipher suites in server-preferred order below.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our cipher suites and the PCI Security Standard Council global mandate (June 2018 - See here) you can reach out to our Cardinal Commerce Support team at support@cardinalcommerce.com and our 24x7 support hotline at 1.866.352.7700
